2015 Scholarship Awards

We are pleased to announce our 3rd Annual Alumni Scholarship recipients Monica Feeley and Long Tran.  The scholarships were presented to Monica and Long at the May 11, 2015 STHS Athletic and Academic Awards Ceremony.  Monica, the daughter of Michael and Yvonne Feeley, and Long,  the son of Kim Tran and Kimsa Vu share a commitment to school and community, while also exceling in the classroom.  Monica is this year’s Valedictorian and Long is Salutatorian.     

Monica, who will attend Vassar College to study Biology/Pre-Med, volunteered with several organizations including Barak Arts, Habitat for Humanity, St. Margaret Mary vacation Bible School, Pinnacle Health Harrisburg Hospital, and Middle School field hockey.   Monica an outstanding field hockey player was Captain in her junior and senior years and was Mid-Penn All Star, All State, National Academic Team Scholar of Distinction, Monica was also honored as a Patriot-News/Pennlive Best and Brightest of 2015.

Long, who will continue his education at Carnegie Mellon University to study either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, volunteered with the Prom Committee, and Mini THON-Four Diamonds Fund,   Long also was involved in the Science Olympiad and was an actuarial intern with Capital Blue Cross.  Long, the National Honor Society President, is also an AP Scholar with Distinction honoree.
